Review of IIIC Candidates

On June 1, the 2009 Review of Candidates for IIIC membership was released to Club members.
Final approval for each candidate will take place at the annual membership meeting and dinner in Barcelona, Spain.
IIIC Biennial Retreat in New Zealand

For the first time, the IIIC Biennial Retreat was held on board a private yacht in New Zealand, The Oceanic Discoverer.
Douglas Koch received the XI Jan Worst Medal in San Francisco, California.
The annual membership meeting

During the annual membership meeting and dinner on 14 September 2008 in Berlin, Germany, Howard Fine assumed the Club presidency and Graham Barrett was elected as the new secretary of IIIC. The membership also approved seven new members from around the world.
New Member Voting Process

At the annual membership meeting of the IIIC on 9 September 2007 in Stockholm, Sweden, the membership voted overwhelmingly, with only a handful opposing, to change the admission procedure, giving the membership the opportunity and responsibility to review and comment on the nominees before the executive review.
